About this artwork
The pictures in the “Nature Abstract” series reduce the motif to the essentials. Nature is shown in a few colored areas. This reduction takes place step by step up to absolute abstraction through geometric surfaces.
A beautiful cherry tree was planted in front of the window of my studio! I was able to observe the development and maturation well in the spring.
The sweet cherry blooms quite early, so fertilization by bees is heavily dependent on… the weather. Cherries are one of the fruits that do not ripen and must therefore be picked when they are ripe and fully colored.
This abstraction shows these cherries, in different stages of ripening, wonderful colors in the middle of green.
It shone in front of my window, I couldn't keep her painting!

« My art consists of thought concepts. These are freed from the object until I express them, precisely organized and composed using lines, surfaces, and colors, specifically on canvas. »
