About this artwork
Tribute to the 50th anniversary of the death of Franco Cevert.
Portrait of the driver François Cevert, born February 25, 1944 in Paris and died October 6, 1973 in Watkins Glen in the United States, he mainly participated in single-seater and sports car races. François Cevert, French Formula 3 champion in 1968, won a Formula 1 Grand Prix in 1971. In the early 1970s, he was considered the French hope of international motorsport. Some of his fellow… racing drivers see him as a future Formula 1 world champion. In addition to his sporting successes, François Cevert is considered a charismatic and outgoing person, who has also attracted public attention through his social life. He died in an accident at the Watkins Glen circuit during qualifying practice for the 1973 United States Grand Prix.
Éric Pawlak, self-taught, manipulates watercolor, ink and even coffee to express his creativity on paper. His unique style immerses us in charming stories told by characters marked by his sure and delicate brushwork. His works, intense and inviting, seek to captivate the observer, leaving a lasting imprint of pleasure and contemplation.
