Béatrice Desprat

Béatrice Desprat primarily uses acrylics and oils, drawing on her background in drawing, pastels, and fashion design. She skillfully blends abstract and figurative elements, creating blurred and textured backgrounds with a palette knife, while her brushes reveal the softness of her female portraits. Her style highlights the delicacy of faces on large canvases, conveying a profound serenity, beauty, and a tender tribute to femininity. She has participated in over fifty regional group exhibitions in northeastern France, alongside local and international artists, notably at the Chapelle Saint Etienne in Beaune (Côte-d'Or), Besançon, Vesoul, and Dijon. She attended various workshops, including one with an abstract painter for five years, during which she discovered the tactile experience of applying paint by hand. Today, she uses acrylics and oils, applying them with a palette knife and brush, in a more figurative style.
